Microdermabrasion Workshop
Part one – 8 hours-This class covers
the theory and history of microdermabrasion. What it can do for various skin types and conditions, contraindications, cost analysis and what features to look for if interested in buying a machine. The balance of the class will include a demonstration; followed by both giving and receiving a treatment.
Part two – 8 hours -This class consists of explaining the value of a series to a client. Additional practical skills will be taught. It is recommended that each student bring a model to which they can give a treatment.
The hours from this workshop can be applied toward the student`s state board hour requirements. A diploma is provided for those students that complete the workshop. Some states are now requiring certified proof of any additional training.
- In the state of Hawaii currently only 6 hours of training are required to be certified in microdermabrasion, however many other states have moved to a 14 hour minimum requirement.
- Part one of the two day event is a pre-requisite for part two on the second day.
- Workshop price: $80 students and $130 for non-students for each day.
- Day 1 and Day 2, 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.
